Maintaining Wellness During Your Trials and Tribulations Newsletter: Week Ending 11-26-11

Trials and tribulations are a part of the Christian’s walk. Often we want to omit the thought of this reality as we press toward the mark of high calling in
Christ Jesus. The bible teaches us that tribulation works patience. The scripture encourages us in James the 1st.chpt to let patience have its perfect work so as to complete our shortcoming and fill our deficits that we might be complete wanting nothing. As we become more advance in our Christian walk we encounter trials and tribulations of greater opposition and dimension continuously challenging our spiritual resolve. The antidote to this opposition lies in the proactive protocols of holiness and practical life applications.
In addition to our daily regiments of living the Christian life style we must maintain a balance of practical life applications.
I offer these three key applications for your consideration.
The three R's of practically:
Application #1: REST.
Application#2: RELAXATION
Application #3: RECOVERY
These applications should be practice daily as they are key to maintaining balance and wellness. When we are not alert we can get caught up in the daily grind of living going through trials, tribulations, conflict, opposition and obstacles without sufficient regard for rest. The demands on our body and the challenges of our schedules can be so severe that we see rest as optional rather than essential. The though process can become hurried in a effort to accommodate demand and avoid conflict and confrontation, when in reality it diminishes the quality of
presentation. The thinking then becomes if I hurry through the process it will be less painful. The reality is without a period of rest the process can become continuously painful. John Wooden won 10 national champs he was still a very effective
mentor, teacher, and author well into his 90's he is recognized as the most successful college basketball coach and life coach ever. He once said about a very demanding game crisis situation;
He wanted his player to be quick but never in a hurry. Be quick be sharp be decisive but never in a hurry. The rhythm of life includes rest. I was bless to go into the delivery room with
the birth of each of my children as my wife's coach, each time was a tremendous experience. The contractions were rhythmic and increase in strength and duration as the process continued through the birthing of our 3 children. Each period of
labor as we called the act of birthing contraction includes rest between contractions, my job was to help her rest, relax, and recover for the next series of contractions. The breathing technique was designed to aid the process. Before we can produce, create and birth forth the purpose of God we must learn
how to navigate labors of life. Rest, Relax, and Recover.
I believe we are more creative, more tolerant, more alert, and defiantly stronger after a period of rest. I also believe God gave man the gift of rest as a reward for service and labor well performed. Do not allow the enemy to steal your rest
or frustrate you with fatigue; get your rest. Vince Lombardi the great NFL football coach of the Green Bay Packers, said”
fatigue makes cowards of us all". That means under the duress, weariness and tiredness of fatigue we are diminished in strength to the degree that it compromises and attacks the structural integrity of our courage. To simplify we may fail apart under the pressure of our task and lack the strength to finish strong or even finish the task. He took a proactive approach and develop a
system of physical conditioning protocols to address the problem. The protocols enabled his player to overcome fatigue
thus overcome the fears of non-performance due to fatigue. He included in his conditioning regime rest and recovery after vigorous labor. To this day Lambardi is known for his superior championship teams and he is recognized as standard by which greatness is measured in NFL coaches. The Championship Trophy of the NFL is called the Lambardi trophy given to the winner of the super bowl. The rest principle is an established biblical principle. In Genesis the bible states God created the earth in six days and on the seventh day he rested. The
principle of rest and Sabbath was established in the early days of creation. Rest completes the creative cycle and makes way for a renewed cycle of production and creativity. The rest principle is essential to each new creative cycle bring balance spiritually, naturally and emotionally. Proper rest is a key to superior
performance. The lack of proper rest causes us to be anxious and fearful about personal presentation or performance. Remember God has not given you a spirit of fear, but a spirit of love power and a sound mind. So make sure you get your rest.

Key #2 Relaxation:
Relaxation helps us to negotiate conflict, opposition and confrontation. Relax, breathe deeply and navigate the trial calmly, allow the tribulation to play out and patently draw on the enter strength of Christ. Remember the greater one is in you. You will never encounter anyone or circumstance greater than Jesus Christ and he's your Lord, Savior and Deliver. Trust him. The ability to gain a measure of relaxation during a conflict can have a profoundly positive impact on the outcome. There are many ways to relax; reading, painting, singing, dancing, playing a musical instrument, or simply listening to music, athletic competition, or a mechanical project can provide relaxing diversions for a hectic day. The diversion can release your mind from the captive mental exertion of your Job or hectic schedule. Recreation is a good way to relax after a tedious day. The word recreation is comprised of two words the prefix being (RE) meaning to duplicate, or start again and (create) that act of producing, forming, or making .creation is the act of creating. Being creative helps to renew, refresh, revive, and redirect
our skill sets in to other endeavors. This produces new opportunities for personal and spiritual growth and accomplishment, which adds to our personal satisfaction and joy. Remember the Joy of the Lord is our strength. Make time to relax. Relaxing through recreation is a viable option and has physical benefits. Start a praise dance group, get involved in choir, coach a youth team, and setup a recreation night with friends.

Key #3 Recovery
The act of recovery prepares us to take on new challenges. The importance of regaining strength equal to or superior to the task at hand cannot be overstated. Entering a new or pending conflict without a proper period of recovery will likely compound the problem. Taking time to recharge from a trying event is a prudent action and demonstrates maturity and wisdom.
The demand of schedule must be offset by proactive systems of protocols that include events and diversions that promote and encourage wellness, wholeness, and spiritual edification including rest, relaxation, and recovery.

Consider this formula in helping you to balance your Life Style.
Rest 8 hrs. uninterrupted sleep.
Relax1hr. -pleasant lighthearted
Fellowship after work:
laughter, bless, and uplift
Recovery 2hrs meditate, sing, pray
read bible
Transition 1hr.
--------------------------------------------
Total hrs. 12 - half day
---------------------------------------------
Work 8-10 hrs. (8 ideal/ 10 max.)
Discretionary time
2-4 hrs. (Ideal 4 / 2mini.
------------------------------------------------
Total hrs. 24/ 10percent equal 2hr and 40 min.
Consider that a tithes of time given in the daily Sabbath of rest, relax, and recovery. I close with this admonition eat healthy and exercise. The body is the temple of the Lord; we must preserve and maintain it. We need a healthy body in the service of the Lord so rest, relax and recover. Remember to celebrate the victories no matter how small. Do not make a memorial to your defeats or setbacks, press on, rise up, and SHINE unto the glory of God!

The Promises Of God Are Sure News Letter: Week Ending 9-10-11

In this week’s newsletter I want to exhort you to hold fast to the promises of God. Even if things began to look opposite of what you expect be steadfast in your faith in God’s promises. Paul says it this way: “For all the promises of God in him are yea and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.” (2 Corinthians 1:20). God is glorified when we demonstrate by our faith and perseverance the manifestation of his promises. Hebrews 6:12 states: “Through faith and patience we inherit the promises.” Acts 1:4 encourages us to wait for the promises. The act of waiting involves services, commitment and cheerfully giving of ourselves to the will and purposes of God, while enduring the period of pending manifestation of the promise. The Question arises: How do I wait when I have already waited so long? I would offer these spiritual antidotes to the weariness that may be incurred during your wait:
1. Wait- Romans 12:1-2 “ I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” A renewed mind energizes, refreshes, and empowers our personal resolve to overcome the weariness. In addition to the new found strength accessed through this process, a renewed mind gives us the ability to have a synergic and productive thought process that is an invaluable assistance in proving what is the good (Functional) acceptable (pleasing) and perfect (most excellent) will of God. Thus obtaining the promises becomes more accessible to the empowered believer.
2. Faith - Hebrews 11:1 “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. By application of your faith we draw near to the assurance of Promise (Hebrews 10:22). Remember the just shall live by faith (Gal. 3:11) so during your period of trial be faithful to things of God. Extend yourself and exercise some spiritual muscle through worship, prayer, study, and joyful expression. In 1 Timothy 6:11, Timothy says it like this: “But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.”
3. Rest - In the reliability of the Lord, faithful and able is his name. He is not a man that he should lie. In Jeremiah 6:16 “Thus saith the Lord stand ye in the old ways, and see and ask for the old paths, where is the good way and walk there in, and ye shall find rest for your souls.” In that scripture Jeremiah 6:16 the Lord has given instruction for waiting for the promise to manifest.
Be sure to enquire of the Lord and stay steadfast. This period Aug 21st-Sept. 30th a time of consecration, fasting, worship, prayer and dedication. I end with these 2 thoughts in Jeremiah 29:8 the nation of Israel was in a period of trial and captivity in Jeremiah 29:7 God the Lord of host had caused it to be so for their disobedience. He promised them peace in captivity and he gave them a period of time 70 years pending a visit from him and the performance of his good word (promise). God the Father had set the duration and conditions for the promise which involved a period of trial. He gave instruction to build houses dwell in them plant gardens eat fruit of them, take wives begat sons and daughters and increase. Yet in the mist of this promised that came through Jeremiah came a word from Hananiah the false prophet. Jeremiah exposes Hananiah as a result of Hananiah’s own words. (Read Jeremiah chapters 28-29) Remember that opposition is a real enemy of your destiny. In Jeremiah 29:8 Thus saith the Lord of host the God of Israel; let not your prophets and your diviners, that be in the midst of you, deceive you, neither hearken to your dreams which ye cause to be dreamed. For they prophesy falsely unto you in my name, I have not sent them, saith the Lord. In verse 11 of the 29th chapter he goes on to say “I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you an expected end. In this hour it is critical that we know the voice of God and the true men and women of God and we should know who the true man and women of God who are sent of him. During this 40 day trial we are being challenged to not only hear God’s voice but also to expose the enemy to ensure that the people of God access the promises of God. “Beloved believe not every spirit, but try the spirit to see if it be of God.” “And remember the promises of God are yea and Amen.”

To God be the Glory,

A Tremendous Period of Blessing Coming Newsletter: Week Ending 8-27-11

A Tremendous Period of Blessing Coming
40 Days Don’t Miss it
The Period of Trail Probation and Chastisement
The number universally recognized as a significant number in scripture. It frequently occurs in scripture associated with a period of probation, trial, and chastisement. Unlike the judgment associated with the number 9 which is associated with the punishment of enemy’s forty deals with the family, sons and covenant people of God. The numbers 5 and 8 are products of the number 40. They are products numbers associated with grace (5) and renewal and revival (8). The number forty relates to a period of probation, it may also relate to enlarged dominion or renewed or extended rule. The harmony of cycle unity in the latter case typically operates in the action of the Divine Grace of God (God enabling ability). The signification of grace and harmony between: God and his people through trial. There are 7 such periods noted in the Bible to survey for our consideration:
1. Exodus 24:18- Forty days Moses was in mount to receive the law.
2. Deuteronomy 9:18-25- Forty days in the mount after the sin of the Golden Calf.
3. Numbers 13:26, 14:34- Forty days of Spies
4. 1 Kings 19:8- Forty days of Elijah in Horeb
5. Jonah 3:4- Forty days of Jonah and Nineveh
6. Matthew 4:2- Forty days Jesus was tempted by the devil
7. Forty days Jesus was seen of his disciples speaking of the Kingdom of God
I highlight these 7 scriptures points with specific focus on Jesus as the ultimate example of a trial and grace. I encourage you to research the 7 with the particular focus on # 6 and #7 – Which deals directly with Jesus. On August 21- The Lord impressed upon me in a service preached by one of our staff Elders that God was extending a season of opportunity which would include enlarged dominion and renew extend rule. The Divine ability to capitalize on this season of opportunity was also being extended and that worship and prayer would be significant factors in accessing the resources of this season both spiritual and natural. (I believe this to be a word of knowledge for body Christ)

In addition and subsequent to the receiving and accessing the opportunity of this season; there would be a season of trial a period of prohibition and chastisement. (See Matthew 4:2 Jesus). We must understand that Satan's agenda is to steal, kill, and destroy that’s his language, intent, and behavior. His agent’s conversation will have frequent references to death, loss, destruction, falling and often accusations to assassinate character many times in the disguise of an angel of light. The intent is to illicit fear and intimidation with deception and wickedness which is the twisting of the components of truth with the settleties of lies.

Since as the Bible says we are not ignorant of Satan’s devices we should be prepared for visitations of deception, accusation, fear, threats, destruction and the language of propaganda in a attempt to keep us out of our due season opportunity.
Just as Jesus had to endure the visitation of the enemy so must the saints of God during his or her season of testing. We may encounter people in the marketplace, on our job, in school, or even in church. The spirit of error, confusion, and deception are devices particularly used to interrupt your focus. Fear and destructive language maybe be use secondarily and that is usually followed by an open attack. Be of good cheer, no weapon formed against you shall prosper and tongues that rise up against you in judgment you shall condemn. Hallelujah God be praised, Jesus be lifted and glorified as we overcome by the blood of the lamb and word of our testimony!!!!!

Our applications during this period should include the following: Worship; private, corporate expression of our love, reverence, appreciation, honor, and praise for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Prayer-Designate time to hear the strategies from God. Share with God your heartfelt position concerns and objectives and ask for his help. Remember to pray for others and maintain a repented heart. Deeds; Express your worship and faith by doing good deeds for others. Keep your focus; bless and curse not. Steer clear of rumor mongers and trust not every spirit, but tried the spirit to see if it be of God. If it becomes necessary to rebuke spirits or cancel assignments of the enemy, do so matter of factly in a practical manor without malice. Place no confidence in the flesh. Be Holy Spirit lead and Holy Spirit fed.

Remember the Devil is the accuser of the brethren so when you can ascertain his presence or agent spirits dismiss them. During this period (40 Days August, 21st- September 30th) Stay focused, worship, pray, fast, and be about your father’s business. I want to encourage you to not be weary in well doing. You’re on the threshold of blessing and God is on our side, we WIN!!!!

May the blessing of the Lord make you rich and add no sorrow,
Apostle Bobby G. Johnson

Meekness: The Forgotten Virtue Newsletter: Week Ending 8-13-11

 Meekness: The Forgotten Virtue

This week’s letter is on a subject near and dear to my heart: Meekness. In our overly aggressive attempt as a nation to be noticed and shine, many have compromised virtues to obtain position, recognition, reputation, and power. This impact has invaded the board rooms of corporate America as well as the Rest Room of our high schools. No area has escaped the influences of what has become the win at any cost attitude. We’re quick to speak and slow to hear. We make demands according to our desire and not according to our ability and skill sets causing frustration and impatience.
The reason for much of this is a serious lack of Meekness and Humility. Meekness is strength under control not to be confused with weakness it is an essential attribute of the Fruit of the Holy Spirit. Gal. 5:22-23 lists the attributes as follows Love, Joy, Peace, Longsuffering, Gentleness, Goodness, Faith, Meekness, and Temperance. In Zep. 2:3 it lets us know that Meekness is a key attribute in seeking the Lord. “Seek ye the Lord all ye Meek of the Earth which have wrought his Meekness: it may be ye shall be hidden in the day of the Lord’s anger.”
Meekness can provide a hiding place in the day of wrath not so with the forward tongue. Our best example of this is Jesus Christ (Isa. 53:7) “He open not his mouth in affliction and oppression.”
1. Meekness is an essential attribute in teaching. It is particularly useful when fasting. The opposition of a forward tongue or forward attitude can be addressed with meekness. (See 2 Timothy 2:25 and Titus 3:2.) Meekness will help identify both the wisdom and folly of a matter.
2. Meekness is an essential attribute in listening and hearing. James 1:21 says “Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with Meekness the engrafted word which is able to save your souls. Again remember Meekness is a key agent of Salvation.
In Closing, Meekness is precious in God’s sight: 1 Peter 3:4 says; “But let it be the hidden man of the heart in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which in the sight of God is of great price.” As Christians our main concern should be how we appear in the sight of the Lord rather than men. We should be God driven and not people driven. We should however, be people sensitive that we may fulfill our service to God in Christ Jesus with meekness. “May the blessing of the Lord make your rich and add no sorrow”

An Exhortation to Trust the Lord News Letter: Week Ending 7-30-11

This week’s letter is focused on our commitment to trusting the Lord in our everyday living application. For a point of reference I’ve surveyed the 3rd chapter of proverbs. In this chapter we can find great encouragement and instruction concerning trusting the Lord. Three Key points began the chapter; (1) Forget not the Law; That is to say remember the Word (Law) and be mentally prepared establishing a mindset that includes the Law as a foundation for our thought life and thought process. It is also key to be lead by the Holy Spirit in the application and appropriation of the Law (Word); For it is written “The Letter of the Law Killeth , but the Spirit gives Life”. Balance and Understanding is essential. The 2nd key is keeping the commandment in our heart. (Center of your spiritual being). In addition to serving and administrating the will of God in our lives via the Word, we are admonished to maintain a spiritual consciousness in our heart as a provision for governing our decisions, actions, plans, and general life style. The successful execution of these 2 principles; remembering the Law and keeping the Commandments; (Gods covenant with his people) This provides the benefits of wisdom for Living a Holy Life Style. The Following acknowledgments are listed as provisional and Providential Benefits:
a) Length of Days
b) Long Life (quality)
c) Peace
d) Favor
e) Good Understanding (wisdom)
The benefits are both spiritual and natural and are recognized in the sight of both God and Man. The Consistent practice of these applications will enable the believer to establish themselves in the word, in a life changing and practical manner.
The empowering (Jesus Christ abiding) benefit nurtures, edifies, and develops a trusting relationship with the Lord. I close with key # 3 Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy path.” We are all faced with life’s circumstances, we are all faced with tough decisions, we are all faced with challenging situations. Life is full of opportunities, promise, and benefits. I Exhort you trust the Lord.

The Recondition Position The Power of Reconditioning News Letter: Week Ending 7-23-11

Gal 6:7 “The Principle of Condition Position” Initiates the law of sow and reaping “Be not deceived God is not mock as a man soweth, that shall he also reap”. This is a fixed principle of the Law of God. Proverbs 18:21 “The Reconditioning Position principle death and life is in the power of the tongue and they that love it shall eat the fruit there of.

Law of Reconditioning and the Principle of Reconditioned Establishment

Hebrews 10:9 "He taketh away the first that he may establish the second"- Gods patterns are the same 1st he takes away then he gives. The required the death of Jesus before he gave eternal life. John 12:24 "Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die it abideth alone: but if it die it bring fourth much fruit." When Gods Law is broken the seed of sin is produced and a crop of iniquity is the harvest. Speak death over that seed with repentance to control your harvest.

You’re in control so take control (speak it)

I. When we break the Law of God sin becomes a seed that will produce a crop of iniquity. The process brings fourth the fruit of sin in your future. The process of sin brings fourth the fruit of iniquity. The fruit produces seed which in tern perpetuates the process. The way to stop the process is to repent. Now speak death over the crop of destruction you planted. Cut off the life source. By the words of our mouth we are in control of both good and evil. Speak death to the fruit of destruction and watch them wither and die speak life and eat thereof.

II. Ask God to define your God given destiny in life and walk in it

III. Take 40 Days to seek God with intense expectation, how do you know you have sincere expectation? It produces corresponding action. – James 2:17

IV. Expectation Activates faith- Faith moves God to take action on behalf of that faith.

Reconditioning Positions of Miracles

Miracle- Unusual happening, goes against the laws of nature, done by the power of God

Psalms 77:14- The God who performs

John 14:11- The evidence of miracles themselves

Acts 2:22- Accredited by God

Hebrews 2:4- Sign and Wonder Miracles

A. Must be persistent in faith to receive a miracle

B. Come at a cost- Price to be paid in particular, faith

C. Most overcome adversity to receive one, not easy to obtain

D. Don’t be mysterious-have an open heart, not pressing out of balance, remember the 3 Hebrew boys

E. Gift of working of Miracles is a supernatural intervention in ordinary course of nature a interruption by the Holy Spirit in a supernatural manifestation by his sovereign power

Message to Our Partners and Members News Letter: Week Ending 7-16-11

This is a time of great opportunity in the kingdom of God. The people of God that are positioned for purpose can be exacted for great grace, great passion, and great prosperity. We are completing a season of re-assembly, re-establishment, and re-conditioning. The Restoration taking place in 2011 is more than a simple recycling of resources and ideals; it is a whole new system of Innovation.

Our Commitment to renewal is essential to this process, and the applications must be consistent and appropriate to the season to produce fruit. Romans 12:1-2 Encourages not to conform to the world but be transformed by the renewing of our mind with the washing of the word.

Old unproductive mindsets must give way to a renewed mind. Even mindsets that are more recent and warranted must be ready to receive innovative instruction for the coming moves. Our minds flow like a river and must be mobile and not stagnant. The flow of the Holy Spirit is transforming. The current guides, teachers, and leads to the purpose of truth.

In a natural river water is said to regenerate itself every 50ft in a flowing motion. That flowing motion is called a current; the current both cleans and refreshes the water, thus regenerating it. A stagnant pool of water has no such stability and collects bacteria such as you would find in a pond.

Movement, current, flow, circulation is the key to maintaining a clean refreshed and renewed body of water; so it is with the living water of the Holy Spirit cleaning and restoring our Spirit which intern quickens our mortal bodies. The word of God is the energy that transforms the mind and renews the capacity, quality, and sanctification, by direction of the Holy Spirit. The word empowers the mind and transforms it into a mind equipped to prove what the good, perfect, and acceptable will of God.

As I close I want to encourage you to embrace the renewing of your mind as stated in Romans 12:1-2. I also would like you to become a C.O.R.E member/partner and not a fringe member/partner. CORE: caring, organized, resourceful, enthusiastic-member. The new and innovated concept can transform the ministry as well as the membership/partnership. Remember we all have new opportunities to succeed every day. Choose to succeed. Embrace your opportunity.

God Bless You,

Apostle Bobby Johnson
